We’re upgrading our AUD deposit system, which means your BSB and account number for AUD deposits will be updated to new details unique to your Cointree account.
From 23rd February 2025, all deposits sent to the old BSB and account number will no longer be processed. We urge all users to update their old Cointree details in their online or mobile banking with the new BSB and account number details as soon as possible.
Why Are We Updating?
We’re introducing a more advanced depositing system that allows for faster, easier deposits. Linking the new BSB and account numbers to your Cointree account helps ensure every deposit is processed swiftly.
How do I Update My Deposit Details?
- Log In to your Cointree account.
- Go to Wallet, then Deposit Funds and find your new deposit details.
- Update Your Details: Add or replace the old Cointree details in your online or mobile banking with the new BSB and account number details.
When Does the Update Take Effect?
On the 23rd February 2025, the old AUD deposit details will no longer be processed. Any funds sent to the old BSB and account number after that date will be automatically returned to your bank account. Returns generally take 2–3 business days. If funds do not arrive back after three business days, please reach out to our support team.

I deposit using PayID. Do I need to do anything?
No. PayID deposits remain the same. You can continue using your existing PayID with no disruption.
What happens if I accidentally use the old BSB and account number after the update?
Any deposit to the old BSB and account number details will be returned to your bank account. Returns typically take 2–3 business days. If, for any reason, you don’t see the funds back in your account after this period, please contact our support team.
Where can I find my new BSB and account number?
Simply log in to your Cointree account and go to Wallet → Deposit Funds. You’ll see your new deposit information listed there.
What if my new deposit is delayed?
Typically, initial bank transfers to a new BSB/account take 1 - 2 business days to process. Banks may also put a hold on your funds due to internal policies for new payees or crypto-related payments. If your deposit doesn’t arrive in your Cointree account or return to your bank after 2–3 business days, contact your bank to clarify the delay, then let us know if you still need assistance.
