Bank account linking is the process of linking your bank account to your Cointree account. This is a one off step that enables you to deposit and withdraw AUD to and from your Cointree account. You will not be able to withdraw until this step has been completed.
To link your bank account simply make an AUD deposit using the PayID (recommended) or Online methods. The process is generally instant (When using PayID), the details received from your bank as part of the deposit transaction will be used to automatically complete the process. You will then be able to deposit and withdraw AUD to the linked bank account.
Important: We will only link bank accounts that are owned by the same person as the Cointree account holder. Deposits sent from accounts that are not clearly identifiable as belonging to the account holder, will require additional proof of bank account ownership in order for the bank account to be approved and linked.
If this does occur, our support team will reach out to you with further details, however it will delay the bank account linking process.
Can I deposit from multiple bank accounts?
Yes you can deposit from multiple bank accounts, provided each account is clearly identifiable as belonging to the same person as the Cointree account holder. To deposit from an additional account, simply make a deposit from the new account you want to link, using the “PayID” (recommended) or the “Online” deposit options.
While you can deposit from multiple bank accounts, please note that we currently only allow 1 account to be used as a withdrawal account, by default, this will be the first bank account you deposited from to your Cointree account. You can view the bank account you currently have set as your withdrawal account by clicking on “Settings”, then clicking on “Bank Account”
